Welcome

In a parish it is critical that the pastoral leadership LISTEN to parishioners.

Listening to the parish community provides the basis for the growth and development of the parish.

Consultation with the parish provides an opportunity for everyone to feel involved. Fr Pete and Joe have identified the need for  a group that might be termed a “pastoral advisory group”, using current terminology, “a new synodal council”.

Natasha Telles has agreed to convene the group, which includes Petrus Lau, Fiona D'Souza, Lucienne Hensel, Scott Davidson, Michael Havell, Robert Caballes and Jacqui Miranda.  And of course Fr Pete and Joe.

4th November Meeting Minutes:

The Pastoral Advisory Group met on 4 November. After a reflection on Evangelisation and Mission (which we recommend for all ministry groups) we considered the draft Parish Pastoral Plan, which we had been considering. We have made some recommendations on content and formatting. Joe will be working on these with a final draft due for our next meeting in mid January.

We also discussed Alpha in the parish and agreed that this would be best done once the three Churches have transitioned into the St Francis of Assisi church.

We discussed this transition process and advised that it is important that ministry groups from the three churches work closely to ensure this goes as smoothly as possible, with groups reforming into serving the "one parish".

We concluded the meeting with the Infant Jesus prayer.
